Adding Ajax Control Toolkit to Visual Studio 2015 Causes Issue with Toolbox in IDE

created 9 years ago (modified 9 years ago)

Select the Dark theme for Visual Studio. Create a project, add a web form, and add the Ajax Control Toolkit to the solution. Add the AJAX Control Tookit to the Toolbox and gridlines will suddenly appear in the main toolbox on the left side of the screen as you scroll up and down the list of controls. Hello Joey,

Thank you for your patience. We have resolved this issue. You can update your AjaxControlToolkit installation using the attached AjaxControlToolkitVsPackage.15.1.4.0.vsix file. We look forward to your feedback once you have had the opportunity to install and check the new build.

During a remote session, the issue did not occur because we were using a newer build. It is only necessary to reset a toolbox after uninstalling the previous ACT build.
The necessary changes will be available in the next official minor version that will be released this month.
