Code Places - Highlight color contrast is not sufficient

created 2 years ago

I am using a dark theme in VS 2022 and the highlighted class member in Code Places has a faint background color which makes it hard to quickly which member is highlighted. It's also harder to notice when the member name extends beyond the width of the Code Places pane.

Is there a way to change the highlight color?

    Hi,

I assume you are writing about the color shown in the below picture:

We will try to improve it. Please bear with us.

Yes. As you can see, it's pretty hard to notice the highlight. For me at least.

We have addressed the issue described in this ticket and will include a fix in our next maintenance update. Should you need to apply our fix prior to official release, you can request a hotfix here.

      Important Notes:

      • Hotfixes may be unavailable for Early Access/Beta builds or updates set for release within a week.
      • .NET only: in the NuGet Package Manager, use your personal NuGet feed and check the "Include prerelease" option to view the hotfix package in the "Updates" tab.

          Hi,

Can we make this issue public, so that we can include it into the resolved issues list for the next release?

            Yes you can.
