Shortcuts - The “Ctrl + S” shortcut used to strikethrough selected text within Rich Comments overrides the “Save document” command

created 4 years ago

Here is another weird Coderush default shortcut.

If text inside a comment is highlighted and CTRL+S is pressed (.cs file), coderush adds "~" around it.

In my view, CTRL+S should be save, no matter what the context, don't you think?

Would it not be a good idea to stay away from universally accepted shortcuts by default?

    Hello,

Thank you for the report. This is part of the Rich Comments feature.
If you disable this feature or disable the Ctrl+S shortcut, then Ctrl+S shortcut will save the document when there is a selection in a commented code.
We will also consider disabling this shortcut by default in future versions of the product.
