Code Providers – The “Declare Provider encountered an error and has been disabled” notification appears after opening a Xamarin application

created 6 years ago

Hi,

After opening a Xamarin app in Visual Studio , I encountered the following error

"DeclareProvider encountered an error and has been disabled "

Here's the stack trace

System.ArgumentNullException : Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: source
   at System.Linq.Enumerable.FirstOrDefault[TSource](IEnumerable`1 source)
   at DevExpress.CodeAnalysis.CSharp.IdentifierNameSyntaxExt.IsEventHandler(SimpleNameSyntax identifier,Document document,SemanticModel semanticModel,CancellationToken cancellationToken,ITypeSymbol& delegateSymbol)
   at DevExpress.CodeAnalysis.CSharp.CodeDeclare.MethodAvailabilityHelper.IsAvailableIdentifier(SemanticModel semanticModel,Document document,CancellationToken cancellationToken,SimpleNameSyntax targetIdentifier)
   at DevExpress.CodeAnalysis.CSharp.CodeDeclare.MethodAvailabilityHelper.HasAvailableIdentifier(SemanticModel semanticModel,Document document,CancellationToken cancellationToken,SyntaxNode root,TextSpan textSpan,SimpleNameSyntax& targetIdentifier)
   at async DevExpress.CodeAnalysis.CSharp.CodeDeclare.MemberAvailabilityHelper.GetAvailableNode(<Unknown Parameters>)
   at async DevExpress.CodeAnalysis.CSharp.CodeDeclare.DeclareMemberRefactoring.RefactoringIsAvailable(<Unknown Parameters>)
   at async DevExpress.CodeAnalysis.Refactorings.RefactoringProvider.GetAvailableRefactorings(<Unknown Parameters>)
   at async DevExpress.CodeAnalysis.Refactorings.RefactoringProvider.ComputeRefactoringsAsync(<Unknown Parameters>)
   at async Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.CodeRefactorings.CodeRefactoringService.GetRefactoringFromProviderAsync(<Unknown Parameters>)

This doesn't happen every time I open the app, so its not a major issue.

Thanks
