Feature Adviser does not perform cleanup when a document is not in focus

created 7 years ago

When selecting "Cleanup" from the Feature Advisor window for "redundant namespace references" the requested document is opened but the cleanup action is not performed if the target document is not currently the active document. If however the document is the active document then the cleanup action is performed, and the file is waiting to be saved.

This is happening in build 17.2.7 , but that build is not available in the drop down.

    Hi Andre,

Thank you for pointing out this issue and providing the screenshot. I have reproduced the issue with applying Code Cleanup for an inactive document. We are working on it and will notify you of our progress.

Version 17.2.7 was not available because the CodeRush product was not selected. CodeRush has its own version that differs from our other .Net products. I have corrected it. Also, you can use the "CodeRush | Support | Report An Issue…" menu item that opens a page with the product and version already selected.
