Test Runner - Clicking the test in an abstract class doesn't jump to code

created 7 years ago

Given the attached project, double-clicking TestInAbstractClass doesn't go to the test's source code. This test is defined in an abstract class implemented by the original test class.

I have "Navigate to code" option enabled.

NOTE: the build I'm running is not "production"

    Hi jorge,
Thank you for the provided project. I have tried to reproduce the problem with the help of it, but my attempts were unsuccessful.
I have recorded a screencast that shows my steps to reproduce the problem. Would you please review it and let me know what I missed?

As far as I understand, you are using a CodeRush build with a hotfix. Could you clarify from what ticket you downloaded the build?

If you run the tests beforehand it won't go to the code.

My build was specified in the create ticket form. The download link is

      http://downloads.devexpress.com/Share/IDE/171030/DevExpress.CodeRush.Roslyn-17.1.9.17303.vsix

So it's from one of the most recent tickets that got a fix related with testing.

      Thanks for looking into it.

Thank you for the clarification. I have reproduced the problem on my side and should say that it doesn't relate to a specific CodeRush version but is reproducible in the latest version, too. We will try to fix it as soon as possible. Once we make any progress, we will let you know.

We have fixed the issue described in this ticket and will include the fix in our next maintenance update. To apply this solution before the official update, request a hotfix by clicking the corresponding link for product versions you require.

Note: Hotfixes may be unavailable for beta versions and updates that are about to be released.

Works fine in latest release. Even get multiple icons to denote multiple test instances.

            Thanks!
