TestRunner - xUnit - Test Runner incorrectly parses InlineData arguments

created 8 years ago

With the test program below, the 2nd set of data for Test2 fails because the expected array differs from the input.  The TestRunner window does not indicate any error for Test2 and also does not count it in the test summary; shows 2 tests, 1 passed and 1 failed.  The Output window shows the tests have run and has the correct test counts in the summary - Passed: 1, Failed: 2.

The TestRunner window does work correctly if the tests are changed to integer arrays - shows the correct number of tests and shows Test2 as having failed.

Visual Basic
Imports Shouldly Imports Xunit Public Class Class1 <Fact> Public Sub Test1() Dim input As String() = {"1", "2", "3"} Dim output As String() = {"1", "2"} input.ShouldBe(output) End Sub <Theory> <InlineData({"1", "2", "3"}, {"1", "2", "3"})> <InlineData({"1", "2", "3"}, {"1", "2"})> Public Sub Test2(ByVal input As String(), ByVal expectedResult As String()) input.ShouldBe(expectedResult) End Sub End Class
