Refactorings - Extract String to Resource - The caret jumps to the beginning of a resource class name when you start typing

created 8 years ago (modified 8 years ago)

Hi.  I'm using the 'refactor string into resource file feature' in coderush rosylin.

I'm having the following issue.

Open Refactor menu with string selector
extract string to resource
select my resource file
It then creates the resource entry, and I expect to start typing to put my own resource key name in.

What actually happens: I start typing.  The first character goes to the correct place, but then the caret gets moved to the beginning of the resource CLASS NAME and everythign gets chopped up.

I have a few issues with extract string to resource before I purchase this product.  Thanks so much :)

As an addition, there is NO verification of the resource tag.  When my cursor gets messed up, and i might accidently hit enter with a blank tag, it totally butchers my resource file.

      Hi Greg,

To keep you informed about our progress with this issue, I would like to mention that we are working on the fix, but unfortunately it requires a lot of changes in our code, and thus the progress is not as fast as we expected.
Your patience is greatly appreciated and from our side we're doing our best to prepare a fix as soon as possible.

At this point my trial version of coderush roselyn has expired.  I was holding off on this bug (and one other that you have already fixed) until we purchased it.  I won't be able to test the fix once it eventually does come.

Thank you for the update though!
