Test Runner – The Test Runner used with code coverage requires an admin password

created 9 years ago

Hello,

At my job I have a login and an admin login to install applications.

When I execute test with " Run with coverage" I have to enter my admin password all the time. Is it normal ?

Thanks,

    Hello,

I have version 19.1.7 and also have this problem. How can this be solved?

      Hi Danny,

Thank you for letting us know about the issue. I managed to reproduce it locally and pass this ticket to our R&D queue.
Please, give us some time to provide research and prepare a fix. We will update this thread once we have any news.

        Danny,

We have researched the original issue and found that the code coverage operation was not properly completed. We will correct this in future versions of the product.

Please also note that to collect code coverage information, CodeRush uses the C++ profiler.
That is why CodeRush tries to register a COM profiler component on your machine.
You can disable the COM component registration on the following option page:

        1. From the Visual Studio menu, select "CodeRush\Options…" .
        2. In the tree view on the left, navigate to this folder: "Unit Testing"
        3. Select the "Code Coverage" options page.
        4. Disable the "Register C++ Profiler per machine (admin rights are required)" option
