Hi,
This feature is already ported and should work correctly. Would you please record a video illustrating this problem?
Also, check to see that the shortcut for this feature is turned on.
Yes, feature is enabled - here's a screencast showing the settings, and also demonstrating what happens when I press tab - http://screencast.com/t/ksrjqDasmG
I'd assumed it wasn't migrated yet, but it looks like perhaps something is blocking it? On the other hand, if I load normal coderush into the same sesssion it works perfectly?
Thank you for the provided screencast. I tried to reproduce this behavior locally but my attempt was unsuccessful (see the attached video). Would you create a small sample project to illustrate this problem?
Also, please clarify whether the Tab to Next Reference is not working only in this case or everywhere.
Hi Andrew,
I just tried it on 5 projects, covering VB Winforms, C# service, C# ASP.Net and C#Asp.Net Core. It didn't work for me in any of those projects, so it seems pretty universal. I've also created and attached a minimal test project that shows the problem for me
I also tried each of these projects with regular coderush and it worked in each case. Strikes me this is going to be settings related in some way? I'll attach my coderush roslyn settings data
Yes, definitely related to my settings. After exporting the settings I attached, tab to reference works correctly. Importing the exported settings causes it to stop working again. Can you see what might be causing the conflict?
Thank you for the additional information. I have reproduced this behavior locally with your settings. Looks like certain contexts for this shortcut are working incorrectly, because you import settings from CodeRush Classic. In CodeRush for Roslyn this shortcut has different contexts and therefore is working correctly.
We will fix this problem as soon as possible.
Hi Kevin,
To determine the cause of this problem, we have tried to adjust the same settings in CodeRush Classic on a clean machine, but our attempt was unsuccessful. Please clarify if you have changed shortcuts settings in CodeRush Classic and if so, specify which of them have been changed.
Also, it would be great if you send us your settings from the %appdata%\CodeRush for VS .NET\1.1\Settings.xml folder.
I'm looking forward to your reply.
No problem - attaching them now
As for what has been changed, I couldn't tell you - I've been using coderush for years now, and not keeping that careful a track on it. Nothing jumps out at me that would be related to what you've described though
Thank you for your cooperation. This information will be helpful to us.
