Bug Report T200907
Visible to All Users

The Event dialog invoked for recurring events opens slowly if the scheduler whose EventOperations.SharingBetweenResources property is set to True is linked to a storage that contains thousand of events

created 10 years ago

Editing recurring events is very slow when assigned to multiple resources when there are lots of events.

To replicate please do the following:

  1. Open your unbound demo.
  2. Set Scheduler.EventOperations.SharingBetweenResources to True.
  3. Run the demo and click on the button to add 500 random events 20 times (you may also want to turn off reminders first).
  4. Manually add a new event. Select all resources and change the recurrence to be every day and save it.
  5. Double click on the new event just added to open it and select "open the series".

The delay here on a fast PC is several seconds to display the editor. On a slow PC, which unfortunately most of my users seem to have, can be 10 or more seconds.

Will it take much longer for the hotfix to be available?

      Hello Ken,

I have published the HotFix. As always, I recommend that you better wait for the official minor release to get a fully tested patch.

        Thanks.
