TcxFilterControl - An exception occurs when applying a filter condition created with the IN or NOT IN operator whose only value to compare is an empty string

Hey DevExpress-Team,

If I use the filter builder of a cxGrid and enter an empty text in a "in" filter, an unhandled exception is raised. So the users of my application get a bugreport.

    I attached the recorded steps to reproduce within the zip file.

      Hello Sascha,

      Thank you for your report. I have reproduced the behavior you described. The exception is raised in the Variants unit, and so I am not sure what should be the correct behavior of our code to make this scenario work better. Anyway, I have forwarded this ticket to our developers for research. In the meantime you can use the following patch to get rid of this exception:

      We have fixed the issue described in this ticket and will include the fix in our next maintenance update. To apply this solution before the official update, request a hotfix by clicking the corresponding link for product versions you require.

      Note: Hotfixes may be unavailable for beta versions and updates that are about to be released.
