I am having the same problem as "Refactor Pro on Windows Vista (Build 5600)". Running the Refactor! Pro install on Vista 5728 I am presented with "Internal Error 2739".
I downloaded the latest version of Refactor Pro 2.0…
Not sure if this is a Dev Express problem or a Vista problem.
Attached are the 2 log files the setup created.
Steps to Reproduce:
Clean install of Vista Build 5600 x64.
Install Office 2007 B2TR
Install VS 2005 Team Suite (w/o installing VSTO)
Install VSTO SE.
Upgrade to Vista Build 5728.
Download latest version of Refactor! Pro 2.0.
Right click on downloaded Refactor! select Run as Administor
Actual Results:
Internal Error 2739.
Expected Results:
Clean install

NOTE: It installs cleanly on Vista (build 5728) x32 without a problem. I only have the problem on the x64 build of Vista.
My x32 install of Vista was build 5728 directly (along with Office 2007 & VS 2005 Team Suite). While my x64 install of Vista was 5600 that was upgraded to 5728.
Thanks
Jay
Hi Jay,
Thank you for the clarification. Please give us some time to complete our testing.
Thanks,
Max
Hi Jay,
Unfortunately, we have no suggestions for now, which means that you will not be able to use the products under your Vista RC1 installation. We are working on an updated installation that will not use the JScript engine and should work. It will be ready in a week or so. If you are ready to test it when we have it completed, please let me know.
Thanks,
Max
Send me an email if you need me to test it.
Hi Jay,
One of our customers found a way how to resolve the issue.
You need to re-register the vbscript.dll and jscript.dll file located in your System32 folder using the regsvr32 command line utility.
I.e., you need to run
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
and
regsvr32 jscript.dll
Once you do this, try to run our setup once again. Does it make any difference?
Thanks,
Max
It didn't make a difference!
After regsvr32 vbscript.dll & regsvr32 jscript.dll (both done as Administrator & both completed successfully) I continue to receive the same error.
NOTE: I have upgraded to Vista x64 RC2 build 5744.
NOTE: VBscript & JScript are registed as I simply 1 line .vbs file executes properly!
Thanks
Jay
Thank you for getting back to me, Jay.
It is sad to hear that it did not help, since this workaround helped to all users who had the same issue…
The only suggestion I have for now is to wait when we complete an updated installation that I mentioned previously.
Please bear with us.
Thanks,
Max
We have fixed this problem. Feel free to contact us at Support@DevExpress.com to receive a test installation.
