The 'valueChanges' event unexpectedly fires when a reactive form is used with the DxTextBox component

created 7 years ago

Hi,

We are working on an Angular 5 project with reactive forms. There is a problem with the patchValue function regarding to the valueChanges emit.
The problem is that the valueChanges is always emitted also when i call the patchValue function with the emitEvent property set to false. The expected behaviour is that the control acts like the standard input. Please have a look at this plunker example:

We have fixed the issue described in this ticket and will include the fix in our next maintenance update. To apply this solution before the official update, request a hotfix by clicking the corresponding link for product versions you require.

Note: Hotfixes may be unavailable for beta versions and updates that are about to be released.

      Additional information:

We rolled back the fix since we found issues with updating Angular form flags like "dirty" with the current fix implementation. We will look for another way to fix the issue.
