Is your CodeUIExtension only working when using Visual Studio Coded UI Tests or can it be used also as Automation Provider? So other frameworks, such as FlaUI can use it.
Support for plain UIA/MSAA frameworks

Hi Toni
I'm the author of FlaUI and I can confirm that everything works flawless with DevExpress controls and FlaUI as they all implement UIA providers which can be used by FlaUI.
If you have issues with FlaUI, please post issues on the github page of FlaUI.
Regards
Roman

Hello Toni,
While we don't write special code to support the FlaUI framework, there is a chance that it all will work as expected in your case.
On the other hand, along with support for CodedUI, our controls support other tools from Microsoft: Visual Studio Test Professional, Test Manager and Test Agent.
So, a better option to perform UI testing would be using one of the supported tools.

Frankly speaking, I'm not familiar with the FlaUI framework and cannot provide you with any hints. I would recommend you consider using CodedUI or other supported tools to perform UI testing.
Is it possible (legal) to send the FlaUI lead maintainer the CodedUI Extension assembly in order to test/add support for the TechnologyName property?

Hi Toni,
I think it is possible. Since CodedUI assemblies are not distributable, it is better to download them from the Support Center rather than share them yourself. I have attached CodedUI Test Extension assemblies and their sources of version 17.1.7. If you need another version, please specify it. I will attach the assemblies.

Alisher
