Animated gif image in StatusBarControl (WPF)

i tried to follow approchs descibed in the link that you have provided to me

I have some problem to insert gifcontrol in the BarStaticItem.ContentTemplate:
i tried with MediaElement and with GifImage but i could not solve my problem

Can you take a look to attached example??

Hi Giuseppe,
To resolve the issue, create the Uri object in the following manner:

C#
var uri = new Uri(this.GifSource, UriKind.RelativeOrAbsolute);  

After that, you will be able to set the GifSource property using the relative path:

XAML
<mylocal:GifImage Name="myGif2" GifSource="..\..\ajax_loader_green_32.gif" Stretch="None"/>

Uhmmmm … does not work :(.
In your example I can see the image in the bar but it is firm / blocked

I would like to start animation with buttonclick, but there is something that i do not understand

Hi Giuseppe,
To access the GifImage element in BarStaticItem and call the Show method, you can use LayoutTreeHelper. I have attached a project for your reference.

It's almost perfect!
With LayoutTreeHelper also works with MediaElement, the only problem (as shown in the attached video) is that in the GifImage case the animation is not smooth while MediaElement has the black background, however I think they depend on gif image  and/or GifImage class; ; How do you think?
