Visual Studio throws NullReferenceException when pressing the Esc key in a derived form

created 8 years ago

Hi,

we've noticed an annoying bug in VisualStudio after updating from 16.1.8 to 16.2.3. When pressing the Esc key in a derived form to navigate to a control's parent, Visual Studio display a message box which indicates that a NullReferenceException has been thrown. Please see attached sample project which illustrates this issue (open Form2, select the TextBox and press Esc several times).

Many thanks in beforehand.
