Export to PDF - Support PDF/A (PDF - Archive format)

We have not yet established our plans regarding this feature. Once it enters the pre-production state, we will update this ticket accordingly. You will receive an automatic message once the status of this ticket is changed.

Our customers have started to ask for this as well, so I'll support the wish.

We are producing about 1500 PDF ́s a day for clients in the financial sector. Due to changed regulations for the financial sector in germany (by law) our clients HAVE TO get their reports in PDF/A-Format. Please speed up your development in this request! Thank you!

PDF/A is an ISO standard file format for long term-archiving of electronic documents, so this feature could be very usefull in business applications.
In Italy long term-archiving of electronic documents is regulated by law so our customers MUST use PDF/A as file format for their documents.
Please consider to change your plans about the development of this feature.

I can only stress the importance for all who need to generate ouput of DB Content in the public sector. I pointed out that to Devex a year ago. At the time had to resort to MSOffice ActiveX (which generates 1.class PDF/A Export) to generate the needed ouput instead of beeing able to use directly Devex PDF Export.

I think everybody have to vote for this feature. I don't know why the DevExpress team is ignoring this essential kind of issue on digital archiving standards.

The current version does not support this functionality. Once we have any results, we will update this ticket accordingly.

PDF/A support with electronic signature preservation is needed if to be supported correctly for archiving purposes.

PDF/A is a requirement for long term-archiving of electronic documents in the European Community, not only in Germany or Italy - and possibly in other countries/economic spaces.

PDF/A is a requirement in Croatia now, please consider this request. I don't want to go back using ActiveReports.

ISO 19005-1:2005 PDF/A-1 is now a requirement for myself, and obviously a number of other of your customers. I feel 6 years is long enough to let us know if support is going to be provided or not, and when.
