Hi,
After upgrading CodeRush, VS2012 is very slow (example Click identifier, closing tabs, …). When I unload CodeRush, VS2012 work fast.
I make log how is described on http://www.devexpress.com/Support/Center/Question/Details/K18265. For this log I click to jump to source (Click identifier). Then I try to close tab.
I try to uninstall CodeRush, delete all settings and then install again but this not help .
Since the upgrade to 13.2.7 my visual studio is completely unusable, keeps on hanging.
Krunoslav, Trentin,
I'm concerned to hear that you're experiencing slowdowns when working with CodeRush. To help us research this issue, please check if you have the DevExpress Assembly Deployment Tool installed. To check this, please go to the Tools\Extensions and Updates. If this tool is installed, Disable/Uninstall it and see if the slowdowns go away. Please inform us about your results.
Hi Alex,
I had installed DevExpress Assembly Deployment. I uninstall (only was option for uninstalling).
For short time what I'm working VS2012 work normally.
Krunoslav,
Thank you for the update. At first glance, it looks like the interaction of CodeRush and the Assembly Deployment tool causes this issue. The only workaround is to uninstall the Assembly Deployment tool. I have passed this ticket to our developers for detailed research. Please bear with us.
I have 11.2.11, 13.1.7 and 13.2.6 on my Notebook.
I don't use CodeRush, but after upgrade to 13.2.7 my Visual Studio is also unusable, loading of my Solution with 160 projects is endless…
My Visual Studio is also unusable after upgrade to 13.2.7.
I have also recently upgraded to 13.2.7 to find Visual Studio is now completely unusable. Is it best to go for the hotfix or revert back to previous?
Scott:
I suggest you apply the hotfix rather than roll back to v13.2.6. To apply the fix, manually remove the Deployment Tool from the 'Extensions and Updates…' Visual Studio dialog accessible from the Tools menu by clicking the Uninstall button. The updated version of the tool will be shipped with the next minor update. You can also download it from the following article: A tool for collecting the required DevExpress assemblies for further application deployment.
I have installed the newest DevExpress Tools (14.2.5) but the problem persists. Keeping CodeRush (and the other stuff) but uninstalling the Deployment Tool helps. It looks like the Deployment Tools are still faulty today. I have VS 2013 Community Edition.
Hello Olivier,
We are concerned to hear that the problem still exists in the latest version. To examine this issue in every detail, I created a separate ticket on your behalf: T231575: Visual Studio is slow when CodeRush and DevExpress Assembly Deployment tool are installed. This ticket is currently in our processing queue. Our team will address it as soon as we have any updates.
