Product names and Descriptions:
Babel Obfuscator
Software written in .NET languages like C# and Visual Basic are usually easy to reverse engineer because they compile to a CPU-independent instruction set that is embedded into .NET assemblies, along with other information called Metadata. This enables decompilation back to the original source code with risk to reveal the software intellectual properties to other competitors. Babel Obfuscator is a powerful protection tool that transforms .NET assemblies in order to conceal the code and make reverse engineering more difficult.
Babel Licensing
Babel Licensing is a licensing system that allows licensing of .NET Framework components and applications. Licenses are based on XML files digitally signed. With Babel Licensing you can make trial licenses, hardware locked licenses, domain restricted licenses and feature based licenses. It has a minimal impact on the deployment and can be easily integrated in any application or software component.

Describe the situation that led you to use Developer Express:
In the beginning, Babel Obfuscator was a command line tool and we needed to develop a user interface to increase customer satisfaction. We knew that development of a professional user interface could take a long time, even with poor results, so we decided to use DevExpress components.
Additionally, babelfor.net started using a third party CMS but soon realized that we need the full control over the Web platform. So we decided to start developing an ASP.NET MVC website using DevExpress components. The administration area is based on the same technology and includes HTML JS components to provide visualization of statistical data to sales and web administrators.
Why did you choose DevExpress?
Babelfor.net chose DevExpress because it offers an extensive set of controls for WinForms, ASP.NET technologies, and now with HTML JS--it is also very promising on the JavaScript platform. The WinForms controls are extraordinarily complete, pixel-perfect, and very simple to use: just a drag and drop what you need into the designer surface and you are nearly done. The usage is intuitive and if further details are needed, there are a lot of examples with DevExpress you can tap into. The support is also very helpful and responsive to the few questions posted from time to time.
Recently we have started to use Javascript Technology and ASP.NET MVC to develop the website at babelfor.NET. We have found it to be a great advantage in terms of time-to-delivery using DevExpress ASP.NET MVC components, also we invested in HTML JS to provide a modern look and feel to the website back-end.
What are the benefits of using Developer Express?
Countless. Also want to mention CodeRush; really love it, especially renaming and quick navigation. Visual Studio has renaming--but not like CodeRush. The first time we saw parameter reorder we never thought it would be possible in Visual Studio editor. There are a lot of refactoring tips using CodeRush and numerous code templates ready to appear under your cursor with a few key strokes.
How many project hours have you saved with DXperience?
It is difficult to quantify the hours that DevExpress saved our company, I just know that using DevExpress saved me a lot of time and effort.
What qualities of DXperience really helped your project?
The components are very professional. Even if you are targeting different technologies like ASP.NET MVC and HTML JS (JavaScript) you can find that there is a well thought-through design that bridges these two worlds seamlessly together.
What would you say if you were recommending DevExpress?
I would say: Hey, don’t spend your time coding the user interface by yourself. If you are like me, you will probably end up having a lame user interface. If you want to impress your customers and enjoy programming, use DevExpress components. They will save you a lot of time and you will get straight to the final result.
