When TextOptions.WordWrap is Wrap, a single word can be broken apart. If this happens, it's difficult to read text. Please take a look at the screenshot in issue Header row word wrap. The issue is also demonstrated in the attached project.
An additional option is needed in the DevExpress.Utils.WordWrap enumeration: WrapWordsOnly.

Word Wrap and Trimming settings are working together now.
We will probably add an option to control this behavior. We are afraid that the new behavior may be considered as a breaking change by some of our customers.
