Implementation Details:
With VCL 13.1, we significantly improved algorithms that deal with WideString data types (ftWideString, ftWideMemo, and ftFixedWideChar) in our data-aware data controllers for RAD Studio 2010, XE, XE2, XE3, and XE4. For instance, our tests show that sorting or grouping data in the ExpressQuantumGrid is now 4 times faster as compared to VCL 12.2.6. The multi-threaded algorithms introduced in this release improve the results even further!
Note that the new algorithms relate only to the data controllers that work in "classic" data loading modes - when data-aware operations are performed on the client side, rather than on the server side (as in server mode).
