Ribbon - A Ribbon tab group's Caption property does not apply to the group caption if this group is displayed in a popup window

created 12 years ago

Dear DevExpress Support Team,

We have found a really annoing problem in the ExpressBars Suite. We would like to have two ribbon groups on different context tabs.

The example that demonstrates that it is not a nonsense is MS Office Word with its 'Shape Styles' group. It is natural, that both these groups can be addded to the QAT and both are displayed as 'Shape Styles'. Using Express Bars suit reaching this behavior seems to be impossible.

In the v2011 vol 1.3 you have implemented the following suggestion:
http://www.devexpress.com/Support/Center/Question/Details/AS15139

I think that it should resolve the problem, but the fact is that it does not. Enabling the rtgavCaption and settings the Caption property of the TdxRibbonTabGroup item to the required value (e. g. 'Shape Styles') only gives an ability to have this caption in a normal state. But when it is wrapped into a drop-down button or added to QAT it displays the Caption property defined for the TdxBar. As it is not possible to define the same captions for two different TdxBar we cannot reach the described goal.

The expected behavior is that the Caption defined for the TdxRibbonTabGroup should be also used when this group is added to QAT or is wrapped into a drop-down button.

I'm attaching a sample application that demonstrates the issue. It is only a sample, so both 'Shape Styles' groups are displayed on a single Ribbon tab. The attached screenshots display what kind of goal we are trying to reach and what is wrong (only a sample of a drop-down button is displayed, but the same problem is also with a QAT item for both groups).
