Server Mode - Add support for Embarcadero FireDAC

created 12 years ago

Do you have plans for adding Server Mode Grid support for FireDAC (AnyDAC) now that it is owned by Embarcadero and part of RadStudio? From what I have been able to gather, FireDAC is at the center of Embarcadero's future database strategy and may well superceded DBX.

Best Regards,

David

    Hello,
    Yes, we have such plans.

Is there an official feature request available that I can track?

        Additional information:

VCL 13.1 adds support for Embarcadero FireDAC, a multi-device data access library. Use the new server mode data source components - TdxServerModeFireDACDataSource or TdxServerModeFireDACQueryDataSource - to link your server mode grid View to a FireDAC connection (a TADConnection object).
Run the ServerModeFireDACDemo and ServerModeFireDACQueryDemo demos to see these components in action.
