OLAP mode - Drilling down the second level in a multi-dimensional cube displays incorrect data

created 13 years ago

When I expand the top level entry, sums are fine.

Expand second level entry, all is fine.

Expand third level entry, and the totals under that entry appear as though they were top level entries. That is the numbers at level 2, might be 300, the when you expand the dimension, the subtotals might be 17000, etc…

Under Excel, connected to the same cube, I expand the same dimensions, no problems.

I don't see any other complaints about customers using SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services, OLE DB 10.0 that are like this, so I must be doing something simple wrong, what could it be?

Sorry, how do I create .CUB to send you?

Does this help in any way.

        Hello,
I am afraid that for now our developers have not found a solution. I assure you that they will do their best to resolve the problem as soon as they can. However, we cannot give you any time frame at present, because our estimations may be misleading. Once the report's state has been changed, you'll receive an email notification from the Support Center. You're welcome to request a fix then. Hello,
We have reproduced this issue via our own demo cube. This behavior does not look right. I am forwarding this ticket to our developers for further research.

              Hello,
No, I do not think that the issue will be fixed after you migrate to SQL Server 1012 because the problem is not related to the server.
In addition, I should mention that we were not able to reproduce the problem with the latest version of our controls (VCL 12.1.4). ExpressPivotGrid has been significantly improved since the old Build 58. May I ask you to evaluate our Trial version at the http://go.devexpress.com/DevExpressDownload_VCLTrial.aspx direct link? It seems that the problem is resolved there and you will be able to manage your data base without sum errors. We are looking forward to your feedback once you have had the opportunity to try this.
Important Note: Installing the Trial version will remove all our old controls on a certain PC. Thus, I suggest you not install it on your development PC. For example, you can use a virtual machine.

Ok, Done… So far demo displays fine – I was disconcerted the groups, automatically pulled in from the OLAP Cube had to be manually deleted in order to move individual fields around… But that's predictable. Will test a but more. Note, I use 2010, the test machine had XE installed, 2010 didn't link, couldn't find files, but XE version compiled.
Will be exploring moving to Builder XE3… Do you guys support XE3? XE3 64bit?

                  Hello,
                  Thank you for your feedback.
At present we do not support the XE3 IDE. However, XE3 support will be available in future versions.
