Just like my feature request in XtraGrid for CellHints, we could do the same with textboxes if we had appearance control over the null text data. I can add a NullText property to show when a textbox has no data, but I would like this to appear in a light gray so it's ghosted like in the back of quicken's cells in the checking account register. This provides a hint as to what text is expected but it does not make the user think the box has been filled in and therefore may skip over it as it doesn't show as empty. Please consider an appearance property so I can format the text/color of Null Text values.

Hello,
A new NullValuePrompt property of the String type has been added to the RepositoryItemTextEdit class. When set, the specified text is painted in faded color within the text box of the inactive editor, if the editor's value equals NullValue. When the editor gets focus, the NullValuePrompt text disappears from the edit surface.
Thanks,
Nick
