Linking shell controls does not synchronize their root settings

We are on the 2012.1.x rev. Got a hot-fix for vol 1.9?

OK. We have fixed the issue in VCL 12.1.9

The fix is invalid in it's current state and won't compile. The error:
cxShellControls.pas(350) Error: E2137 Method 'DoNotifyUpdateContents' not found in base class
cxShellControls.pas(3682)
cxShellListView.pas(46) Fatal: F2063 Could not compile used unit 'cxShellControls.pas'
The reason: DoNotifyUpdateContents is not defined in the ancesor class (TcxShellOptions in cxShellCommon). My guess is that you just forgot to throw in cxShellCommon in the fix.

I create a protected, virtual, abstract DoNotifyUpdateContents in TcxShellOptions:
protected
procedure DoNotifyUpdateContents; virtual; abstract;
Was my guess correct?
Things seem to be working fine and thankfully my code didn't break in the process :)

Hello,
It seems that you are right, the fix for v2012 vol 1 was incomplete. I have changed it now. Please download it and try again. It should help now.
