ASPxDateEdit - Selecting a date before the page is fully loaded causes JS error

created 16 years ago

Hello,
We've encountered an error ('handler' is null or not an object) when selecting a date from an ASPxDateEdit just before the webpage is fully loaded. We suspect the problem is with the Devexpress control accepting input before the DOM is ready (loaded). Below are the steps to reproduce the error.
Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Just before the page is completely loaded, select any date from the ASPxDateEdit (browser: IE 7).
  2. The yellow error icon on the status bar of IE 7 will appear.
  3. Click on the icon and "'handler' is null or not an object" error is displayed.
    Actual Results:
The error "'handler' is null or not an object" is produced.
    Expected Results:
    Error should not be encountered.
