Change the column autoscoll delay interval that is used before drag-and-drop is initiated

Hi,
We have a grid with many columns. The position of the columns can be changed.
But when the user moves a column and wants to drag it at the end of the grid, he needs to wait very long before the grid starts to scroll.
This makes the autoscroll functionality of the column not intuitive for the users, so it makes our application more difficult to use.
We would like to achieve a scrolling behavior similar to Excel, which starts to scroll very quickly.
How could we achieve this?
