The problem occurs with BarSubItem: an item is clicked, but form controls aren't repained until the click is processed. See the attached screenshot.
Proposed Solution:
Delay the ItemClick event hanlder execution via the BeginInvoke method. This behavior must be optional.

The BarItem.ItemClickFireMode option enables postponed calls to the ItemClick event.
