Linq Skip support

created 16 years ago

I know that not all of the database engines supported by Linq offer skip support, but it would be really helpful to have this functionality out of the box for engines like MS SQL Server. Take is already supported, and it isn't optimal to use the page selector component because that involves enumerating all the IDs in the table.
This may be a rather daunting task because you would have to add Skip support to the underlying XPO layer - but maybe, just maybe, you can do it? I know a lot of people have been asking around!
Proposed Solution:
- Add support for Skip on Linq query objects.
- Perhaps add application-tier support for Skip in XPO for database engines that don't support Skip. A relevant property could be added to XPCollection, too!
