total summary for selected rows

created 17 years ago

I am trying to create a total summary for selected items. Is there an easy way to do this. I am wanting the user to select rows from the gridview, and a sum total to be calculated in the footer of the grid. Is this possible?

    Hi Boris,
    Yes, it is possible to implement this task. To do this, you should:

    1. create a TotallSummaryItem and set its SummaryType to the Custom value;
    2. handle the CustomSyummaryCalculate event to calculate this summary value manually;
    3. set the ASPxGridView.SettingsBehavior.ProcessSelectionChangedOnServer property to true;
    4. Call the ASPxGridView's DataBind method at the every Page_Load event handler.
      Please refer to the attached sample project.
      Thanks,
      Plato
