Conditional group footer visibility

created 19 years ago

I have a grid with several groups. By definition in ExpressQuantumGrid (5) every group should have header and footer while I need always headers but not always group footers.
Proposed Solution:
If possible to implement some property (let's say on column?) to enable or disable group footer for specific group in (DB)TableView so I can turn on or off the group footer for specific groups.

Can you please explain on a real-world example why you need that? That could help us to find a better solution.
You say you want such property in a column so I assume you want to show/hide group row footers based on the grouped column associated with this group level. Am I right?

Yes, that is correct. Grouping is based on columns so currently group automatically has a group header and a group footer. If group footer could be turned off for some columns the grid could become more clear to read. Check the attached image of one such case. This is purely statistical grid with only two groups and custom group header text (based on a field values of course). We have simplified this grid as much as possible already. And this is one of few similar grids in our application.
      Many thanks for Your help!
