We have closed this ticket because another page addresses its subject:

DataBind() is not raised for controls placed inside IContentContainer control (ASPxPanel, ASPxPopupControl, ASPxPageControl, etc.)

When the Controls property is used in early stages of a control life cycle, the control hierarchy is not properly created

In some cases, when controls are placed to DevExpress containers, they might lose their values after a postback/callback. The issue is reproducible starting from version v2010 vol 2.2 to v2010 vol 2.5 (including some public fixes whose date is earlier than the date of the current report).
We apologize for possible inconvenience, but the issue should be eliminated starting from version v2010 vol 2.6.

We have received several bug reports with similar descriptions. So, we decided to create a centralized Bug Report (DataBind() is not raised for controls placed inside IContentContainer control (ASPxPanel, ASPxPopupControl, ASPxPageControl, etc.)), which is fixed from version v2010 vol 2.6, and fixed all linked issues.
