Ribbon Form - Make the Auto-Hide Ribbon mode introduced in the Office 2013 style optional

created 12 years ago

The new icon to maximize the ribbon is visible even when the maximise button is disabled, is there a way to prevent this.

Not sure what the icon is called but i've attached a picture to clarify

I've never seen office where the maximise is switched off so cannot be sure you are right, but if a user can bypass a deliberately programmed form where the maximise is set to false doesn't seem right?
    Just giving you feedback…

I understand your point. I have dropped a note to our developers regarding this issue. I hope the current behavior will be changed soon.

Thanks - it's a great feature. I should say thanks for the hard work, 13.1 is looking good so far

        Implementation Details:
The Ribbon form's RibbonAutoHideMode property set has been extended with the Enabled property, which allows you to switch on/off the Auto-Hide Ribbon mode. The property is set to True by default to mimic the behavior of Microsoft Office 2013 applications.
