Conflict between CodeRush 12.2.8 and TFS Power Tools breaks Team Explorer Builds view

created 12 years ago

Using VS 2012 with Update 2 applied (but the problem appeared before I applied that update, and I had Update 1 installed).

Hello,

I installed 2012.2.8 this morning, and now when I go to the Builds view of Team Explorer, I get the following 4 errors displayed where the builds should be, and cannot see any build information:

System.Exception: The component 'Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Controls.BuildsPageView' does not have a resource identified by the URI '/Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Controls;component/buildspage/buildspageview.xaml'. at System.Windows.Application.LoadComponent(Object component, Uri resourceLocator) at Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Controls.BuildsPageView.InitializeComponent() at Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Controls.BuildsPage.CreateView(PageInitializeEventArgs e) at Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Controls.WPF.TeamExplorer.TeamExplorerPageBase.Initialize(Object sender, PageInitializeEventArgs e) at Microsoft.VisualStudio.TeamFoundation.Build.BuildsPageVs.Initialize(Object sender, PageInitializeEventArgs e) at Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Controls.WPF.TeamExplorer.Framework.TeamExplorerPageHost.Initialize(TeamExplorerPageContext context)

System.Exception: The component 'Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Controls.MyBuildsSectionView' does not have a resource identified by the URI '/Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Controls;component/buildspage/mybuildssectionview.xaml'. at System.Windows.Application.LoadComponent(Object component, Uri resourceLocator) at Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Controls.MyBuildsSectionView.InitializeComponent() at Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Controls.MyBuildsSection.CreateView(SectionInitializeEventArgs e) at Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Controls.WPF.TeamExplorer.TeamExplorerSectionBase.Initialize(Object sender, SectionInitializeEventArgs e) at Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Controls.BaseSection.Initialize(Object sender, SectionInitializeEventArgs e) at Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Controls.WPF.TeamExplorer.Framework.TeamExplorerSectionHost.Initialize(Object context)

System.Exception: The component 'Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Controls.AllDefinitionsSectionView' does not have a resource identified by the URI '/Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Controls;component/buildspage/alldefinitionssectionview.xaml'. at System.Windows.Application.LoadComponent(Object component, Uri resourceLocator) at Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Controls.AllDefinitionsSectionView.InitializeComponent() at Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Controls.AllDefinitionsSection.CreateView(SectionInitializeEventArgs e) at Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Controls.WPF.TeamExplorer.TeamExplorerSectionBase.Initialize(Object sender, SectionInitializeEventArgs e) at Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Build.Controls.BaseSection.Initialize(Object sender, SectionInitializeEventArgs e) at Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Controls.WPF.TeamExplorer.Framework.TeamExplorerSectionHost.Initialize(Object context)

If I uninstall it, the Team Explorer works correctly; I've repeated the uninstall/reinstall steps several times to ensure it was not something else. I do have some other extensions installed, but I disabled them all for testing.

For now I will reinstall the previous version. Please let me know if I can provide any additional information. Thanks.

The problem is that CodeRush is not included in DXperience installation. It is necessary to update it separately.
To address both these problems with CodeRush and another problem you mentioned, we advise upgrading both DXperience and CodeRush to version 12.2.9, which should contain required corrections. Please visit our version info page at http://www.devexpress.com/support/versions.xml to learn about the most recent versions of our products and obtain instructions on how to update them.

12.2.9 wasn't released two days ago, but I upgraded now and it's fixed. Thanks! :)
